Energy Audit

Energy Audit

This marks the beginning of the whole energy optimization process whereby we come to your facility and investigate areas of energy use and energy waste through interviews with the user and conduct measurements of the various energy systems, recommend ways of reducing consumption and document the savings achievable in a report. A good energy audit report will have identified areas to reduce energy consumption by at least 25%.

We conduct various energy audits. They are as follows:

a. Benchmark Energy Audits: This type of energy audit I conducted at the preliminary phase through a site walkthrough to identify energy systems and possible energy conservation opportunities (ECOs). It is FREE OF CHARGE

b. General Energy Audits: They are the minimum threshold for government compliance (Energy Management Regulations, 2012 of the Energy Act 2019). They are conducted on the whole facility once every 3 years. It entails deeper site assessment and analysis through monitoring, measuring and testing to identify ECOs.

c. Investment Grade Energy Audits: They meet the minimum threshold for government compliance (Energy Management Regulations, 2012 of the Energy Act 2019). Investigations are conducted more thoroughly and more financial metrics are used to describe the projects’ feasibility, in addition to the technical design, bill of materials and risk analyses conducted. They are conducted once every 3 years and the resultant energy audit report can be used as a proposal to financial institutions for financing the recommended energy conservation measures.

d. System Energy Audits: They do not meet the minimum threshold for government compliance. They are conducted to target specific areas of energy consumption as per the need of the client. They can be conducted as frequent as possible.

e. Renewable Energy Feasibility Studies: They are conducted to see if proposed renewable energy project make technical and financial sense.
